Theme/Dress Code: Eleganza Extravaganza
Create a breathtaking and memorable look that embodies the essence of high fashion, glamour, and over-the-top theatricality. We’re looking for flair and visual spectacle
Ballroom culture, a vibrant and influential subculture, emerged from the drag balls of the mid-19th century, specifically from the Harlem Renaissance era. It initially grew as a space for Black and Latino LGBTQ individuals to find acceptance and express themselves, particularly after the Civil Rights era. Ballroom culture is characterized by its "houses," which act as surrogate families, and its emphasis on performance and competition in various categories.
